i read addicted to mediocrity a few years ago and it is a book i come back to often as a reference. franky recently wrote "crazy for God" ... have you heard about it? interesting. steve brown does a good interview with franky on stevebrownetc.com

From what I hear/understand, Franky went off the deep end.

But then again, maybe Franky swam down to the shallow end. :)

i think franky definitely went another way (greek orthodox, i believe), but judging from the interview, it didn't sound like he had abandoned the faith in the way he was "rumored" to have abandoned it. also, it was supposed that the book reflected an angst on franky's part toward his parents, but in the interview he talks about how much respect and love he had for them. seemed like, from the interview, that it's just a candid book where he is frank (no pun intended!) about life growing up in the evangelical world.
